Hello friend — I’m Laura, and I’m so glad you’re here.

I grew up in the chaos and color of Los Angeles, craving connection and creativity long before I knew where they would lead me. A petite, curly haired tomboy with a gap toothed grin, I found my way to Aveda’s Institution and discovered what I now know is my life’s work. I create meaningful, one-on-one moments of care and help people feel at home in themselves by crafting personalized routines and providing the potions to bring hair to life. 

Today, I’m the founder of 21 North, a salon and spa rooted in wellness, artistry, and the belief that beauty should feel like coming home. I’m a curly hair specialist and educator, passionate about helping people rewrite their relationship with their natural texture. I speak the language of curls — and I love teaching you how to speak it, too.

Leadership has become a defining chapter of my journey. Building a team of Mavens and creating our True North Wellness Bar has allowed me to support others in rediscovering their own aligned, grounded path — guests and team alike.

Outside the salon, you’ll find me flowing through hot yoga, adventuring with my family, or fly-fishing the Idaho rivers that reset my soul. I’m a joy seeker, an adventurer, and a woman who believes deeply in tending both the inner and outer self.
