Hello friend, and welcome to my beautiful world!
Let’s get it out in the open. yes, I grew up in Los Angeles and moved to Idaho. my childhood spent in the dangers of Hollywood kept me too closely tucked under the wings of boring grown-ups. and with two older siblings far beyond my years I was left aching for human connection. Which brings us to 25 years later, and still getting my high on that one on one interaction.
Imagine a petite, curly haired, gapped tooth girl with a tomboy heart, finding her way towards beauty. I decided to feed my inner creative and organic gift by attending beauty school. to this day it has blessed my life. I became a day-maker. I’m grateful to have met many incredible mentors along my journey, which has shaped me into the woman i am today.
Over time I perfected my craft; not only my technical skills, specializing in curly hair, but added to my life’s journey the important leadership role of salon owner. Wellness and inner beauty are the focus. Our salon culture embraces not only guests to rediscover their true north, but our team of mavens as well. I’ve created a true north wellness bar where my team and I share our favorite tools that keep us on a path to follow our truest selves.
When I’m not working you can find me doing hot yoga all year long, being with my family of 7 in the North End doing anything outdoors, and my perfect day is spent fly-fishing on a river with my partner. I’m a joy junkie and lover at heart. I enjoy shining my light with others and make people feel good in my care.
I’m a curly hair maven that helps people’s hair troubles fade away. What was once a fearful hair experience has now become fun and enjoyable. I speak in curls. I educate you on the language of curls, and provide the potions to bring your hair to life. Nothing feels better than when my guests say “my hair has never looked so amazing!”

I graduated in 2006 from NACCAS accredited Scot Lewis School of Cosmetology in Minneapolis. I attended the prestigious Aveda Congress in 2018, participating in master classes taught by industry giants. This experience allowed me to further refine my skills and stay updated with the latest trends and techniques. Since then I have invested myself in extensive education and now specialize in blonding, balayage, and dimensional brunettes.
I believe that a thorough consultation is the foundation for a successful service. I take pride in creating personalized looks that reflect the unique qualities and preferences of each individual, dedicating time to listen to my clients' needs and goals to ensure that we are on the same page before proceeding. By understanding my clients' vision, I can tailor the cut and color to suit their personality and style. My skills in both cutting and coloring techniques, provide a comprehensive service to my clients. I pay attention to detail and strive for precision and finesse in every aspect of my work.
I am also a dedicated esthetician, offering a range of facial options in our spa. I believe in promoting self-love and care from the inside out, and my aesthetic services complement the overall beauty experience for my clients. Hello there! I’m excited for this new journey as a Maven! Let me start by sharing some things about my professional background: I have been a licensed cosmetologist since 1996. I am proud to be a farmer’s daughter originally from southeastern Idaho. As a young adult, life took me to Michigan. I received my education as a stylist from the Aveda Institute at Douglas J in Lansing, MI. I spent 2 years working in an Aveda Concept Salon there before returning to my cherished Idaho. In Pocatello, I discovered my passion for teaching while working in a small concept salon. I began as an in-salon coach, eventually becoming a licensed instructor and salon owner. I briefly transitioned as a cosmetology instructor with Idaho State University. The pandemic prompted me to focus on our salon team and guests. Last year our circumstances changed, and we decided to close our salon. We are delighted that my husband has accepted a job promotion and have now relocated to the Boise area.
On a personal note, creativity runs through my veins! I am an antique collector and history enthusiast. I enjoy restoring old things and using them to add character to new spaces. We even renovated an old house into our salon! When I’m not styling hair, you can find me in the kitchen. Cooking and baking is my love language. I also enjoy working and playing in the sunshine. I am a Boston Redsox fan, proud boy mom, and wife to the best man I know. While my family life is transitioning into the empty-nest phase, I am eager to forge new connections with guests as well as my new salon family. More than anything else, my heart still beats for teaching. Given that when you teach…you learn lessons you didn’t know you needed.

When I'm not behind the chair, you can find me hanging out with my wonderful boyfriend and our two dogs, Peanut and Pepper. The perfect day for me would be surrounded by friends around the campfire after a long day of boating.

Hello beautiful, my name is Ally. People are the reason I wanted to get into the field and they are the ones who help me live out my dream everyday. I have wanted to do hair since I was 10 years old and my passion has only grown since then. The first time I ever walked into a professional salon with my mom and saw the connection between the stylists and their clients, I knew that this is what I wanted to do in my life.
I have lived in just about all the states as I have ever stepped foot in, so if you are new to the area I am right there with you. If you are a local I will be picking your brain about this beautiful city and all of the amazing things to do here.
From beautiful blonding services to edgy cuts, I can do it all. I always get the question of what is my favorite service to provide to my clients, and I always have a hard time answering that. That is because I truly love every part of doing hair. Anything that you could ever want me to do to your hair is my favorite service, especially when it challenges me. So no matter what you would like I am your girl.
If there is one thing that I wish I could do everyday it is to find a beautiful spot in the sun, throw up my hammock and do something creative. Anything from painting to reading a good book, while I enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It is the simple things that bring me joy. If you have any good books or good playlists that you would recommend, I’d love to hear them.
I am a graduate of Aveda Institute Boise, and this is where I fell in love with Aveda. Aveda values people and the planet like I do. This is how I knew I wanted to make sure the people who sat down in my chair were not only getting the best service, but also the best products going on their hair.

Hello gorgeous! I'm a Palmdale, California native who trail blazed through the world of competitive cheerleading in Ventura. My husband and I embraced the magic of Idaho at the end of 2020, captivated by its adventurous outdoor charm and the soothing, unhurried rhythm of life.
In my cheerleading days, I reveled in how fun it is to be a woman, rocking bold ponies or A-line bobs and colorful lashes. Fast forward to today—I'm all about celebrating our inherent beauty with a sprinkle of simplicity. My beauty journey began as a DIY adventure, learning the ropes through YouTube and the wonderful people around me. Learning to care for and embrace my own curls, and the creativity that allowed, is where I fully became hooked on this industry.

I was born in California but my formative years were spent in the wild and otherworldly beauty of St.George, Utah and Sedona, Arizona. I feel growing up in nature; hiking, hot spring hopping, camping, crafting, and soaking in the beauty of my surroundings influenced my direction towards the healing arts.
In 2003, I completed an intensive 720 hour massage and hydrotherapy program at Arizona School of Integrative Studies, just outside of Sedona. Since I graduated massage school I have continuously studied multiple modalities, pursued clinical certifications, attended cadaver labs and maintained a National Board Certification. I am committed to deepening my knowledge and understanding of Anatomy, and advancing my technical skills and application in order to provide the highest level of service to you.

A session with me will always be customized. I will always listen and seek to understand what your needs are at that moment. (My superpower is that I can listen with my ears AND my hands.)
I will be present for every minute of the session. What I do in a session will be well informed and intentional.

When I am not in the treatment room you can find me biking, hiking, doing Yoga or Pilates, taking walks with our dog, playing with our cat, gardening, cooking, reading, exploring, and trying new things. I enjoy live music, drinking wine and picnicking. I value providing service to others so I also devote monthly time to volunteering.
I pursue all things self-care; massage, facials, haircuts, floating, hot baths, cold plunges, breathing, sweating, hydrating, resting, stillness, movement, dancing, animal videos, cuddling with pets, trips to the dentist, cleaning, and organizing. Whatever is self care for you, I will encourage you to prioritize that for yourself.
